Is Your Estate Plan Still Right for You?

Life changes. Laws change. Your estate plan may need to change, too.

Is your legacy still on track? Do you know that an outdated estate plan is a gamble?

You already have done the hard work of creating an estate plan—now make sure it was created correctly and if it still works for you. For example, life changes like births, marriages, or new tax laws can quietly outpace your current documents. If it’s been more than three years since you looked at your estate plan, it might be out of date or laws may have changed. Some of the things we look for are:

  • Outdated tax strategies
  • Obsolete beneficiary designations
  • Changes in state law requirements
  • New assets not yet protected

We review your current estate-planning documents to determine whether they still reflect your wishes, family circumstances, assets, and planning goals.

After the review, we explain whether your plan appears current or whether updates should be considered. If additional planning or new documents are recommended, we discuss the next steps with you.

The review is offered for a flat fee. The fee is based on the number of documents and number of pages to be reviewed. You will know the review fee before the work begins.
