Stacey M. Edwards, Esq. is the Founder and Managing Member of Edwards Estate & Elder Law. Practicing for more than twenty-five years after attaining a Master of Science in Justice and a Juris Doctor of Law, and serving countless clients, her decades of focus in the complex and intricate areas of estate and elder law feeds her passion to think “outside the box” and strive to devise personalized legal solutions that are as unique as her clients, their wishes, and their circumstances. Stacey serves a multitude of clients: people who are planning for incapacity and death; people and their caregivers navigating financial and care crisis because of an injury, illness or disability; people facing the legal aftermath of incapacity and death; people fending off attacks of others’ greed after a death; and people being victimized by financial predators seeking to manipulate or abuse vulnerable elders.
Stacey’s commitment doesn’t stop at the private practice of law. Stacey is very vocal that she has spent her career “getting gray hair and making a living off of cleaning up other people’s messes” because of no estate planning, or worse, bad estate planning. She is on a mission to spread the word through public speaking, podcasts, and social media about the crucial need for every adult to have complete and appropriate estate planning. There are literally no public service announcements about what happens if there is no estate plan, an incomplete estate plan, or worse, a DIY estate plan, which is otherwise known as a “bad” estate plan. The most common phrase she hears from clients over and over is: “We wish we knew.” Stacey is available to speak to your social group, membership organization, employees or podcast audience to empower them with knowledge and the spark to make the call to get the plan done, giving you and your loved ones peace of mind.
EDWARDS
Stacey and her husband Daniel, the firm’s Director of Operations, are on a long-term mission to change the landscape of estate planning in the United States.
Their mission is to provide estate planning, public benefits navigation, and crisis management to those who do not have the means to engage the competent services of an attorney. They believe that no one, regardless of age, should be without a plan for crisis and death because everyone deserves to die with dignity and compassionate care, under terms directed by the individual rather than the government. They believe that God has imprinted upon them a mission to establish a charity that will better serve their clients, adversaries, colleagues, family, and friends—and ultimately improve their lives.
